Two full days of fun, competitive events and exhibitions are on offer at the 87th Annual Gresford Show this Friday March 8 and Saturday March 9.

Once again the Gresford District Agricultial Society Inc has a variety of entertainment for spectators, competitors and their families lined up.
The Gresford Show, sponsored by Kirkwood Produce, Maitland and Singleton, will showcase the very best of local entertainment and events including the Miss Showgirl competition, livestock, horse and pavilion activities.
There's a range of competitive events such as the wood chop, campdraft, a live band and bullock ride and on Saturday evening there's a fireworks display.
CWA of Australia president Tanya Cameron will open the show on Saturday, March 9.
Mrs Cameron will be welcomed to the region by the Gresford community and CWA members who are hosting the tea rooms at the show.
Showing her support for the region’s agricultural, horticulture and pastoral interests, Mrs Cameron will open the show at 2.30 pm during the grand parade.
Gresford CWA president Robyn Thornton applauded show President Tim Capp and his team for honouring Mrs Cameron with the duties of opening the show.
"The CWA aims to make life better for our community, we look forward to the Australian president dropping in to our tea rooms for tea, coffee, sandwiches and of course some scones," said Mrs Thornton
The CWA is the largest women’s organisation in Australia with 44,000 across 1855 branches.
