To help the community make the transition to the ban on disposable plastic bags, the Boomerang bags team members will be at Lovey's Grocers IGA Dungog and Clarence Town this Saturday, June 30 from 9am until noon to offer advice on plastic bag and other everyday household items.
Residents will get the chance to see the whole Boomerang Bag range and talk with the teams about sustainable living and how making small changes can have a big impact on the environment.
Boomerang Bags will have their bags and other sustainable items available for purchase and all money raised at the event goes back into the local community groups to create more sustainable bags and materials like bees wax wraps.
If you'd like to get involved in making the bags or wraps talk with the team on the day.
IGA staff will be on hand to offer options to reduce, reuse and recycle.
