The Power of Activi$m a film about a group of female activist and the issues they are championing.
Growing up in Manly, Sydney, Dado-Millynn found that from a young age she always had a special connection with nature.
As a result of this passion, Dado-Millynn volunteered at different Zoo's and organisations such as the World Wide Fund for nature.
Moving to Dungog in 2012, her interest in activism followed her here.
She started initiatives including the Dungog branch of Boomerang Bags in 2016, as well as Single Use Plastic Free Dungog.
Both of these initiatives are aimed at reducing pollution and making Dungog a cleaner place to live.
Dado-Millynn's passion for the environment and activism has only been enhanced with her background and education in the film and theatre industry.
Studying Design at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, she has taken her work in the arts across the world, from Los Angeles and New York to London and work here in Australia.
Both of these passions have come together with the showing of Dado-Millynn's film, The Power of Activi$m.
"This film became my way of being able to do something, to be able to showcase them," she said.
They remind me of me."
The filmmaker describes the film as a passion project with a small budget that hopes to wake everyone up to the power of activism.
"This is a passion project of me being keen to combine all of my skills and do something.
'Doing something that has a difference on a large scale," she said.
Unlike many other films surrounding activism, The Power of Activi$m aims to place a monetary value on the benefits that activists bring to the economy as well as the costs of inaction on each of the subjects' areas of interest.
The documentary aims to show viewers the power of activism and highlights to the audience exactly how much of an impact each individual can make, as well as how big of an impact it can have when everything comes together.
The documentary film Power of Activi$m opened to a community viewing in the James Theatre on Saturday, March 5, with a full theatre in attendance.
