The theme for this week's National Volunteer Week, which was held in April, was "The Value of One, The Power of Many", reflecting on the awe-inspiring acts of kindness by millions of individuals and the magic that happens when we work together towards a common purpose.
"Our wonderful volunteers bring joy and happiness and regular updates about Shire news, which our residents thoroughly enjoy," said Lara manager Jo Earley.
Mrs Earley said the morning tea was a way to say a "huge thankyou" to the volunteers she said who always arrive with a smile to help with craft, bingo, ageless play, beauty therapies and much more from all your friends at Lara.
"We had a lovely morning tea at Meg's Kitchen Dungog where the food and service was truly fantastic," she said.
