The celebration of the first birthday of Shine Hair and Beauty at Clarence Town on Wednesday, October 16 was an evening of champagne and canapes.

While the business has been in Grey Street, Clarence Town for some years Sonia Bowden has been the owner for just 12 months.

Her daughter Phoebe, clients and her staff Jess Sandeman and Sandy Melmeth who she regards as family helped her celebrate.

Jane Shaw of Williams River Bakery created the celebration cake which was part of the festivities.
