They now join the All Age side in next Saturday's deciders and just to add a bit of spice to the days entertainment they come up against the Stroud Raiders in both games.
Dungog found themselves under the pump early in Saturday's game against Shortland with a couple of dropped balls giving the Devils good field position which they took full advantage of crossing for a converted try inside the first five minutes.
To complicate matters for the Warriors, Beth Marshall, Dungog's best player over the last month injured her ankle in trying to prevent the try and was gone for the afternoon.
Shortland continued to go on the offensive as Dungog struggled to get out of its own half.
Dungog's scoring chances were rare but Amelia Morris went close to scoring after one of her typical weaving runs only to go into touch as she was attempting to score.
The Warriors then suffered another setback with Morris sent to the sin-bin with 12 minutes of the half remaining.
To Dungog's credit they rolled their sleeves up and some great defence shut down everything Shortland threw at them.
The Warriors continued to throw the ball around in the windy conditions and with Morris back on the field they finally got on the scoreboard.
On the back of a couple of passes Emily Marshall split the Devils defence in a 30 metre run before offloading to Morris who then beat several defenders in a 40 metre run to the line to give Dungog momentum going into half time.
The Warriors got away to a perfect start after the break with Morris going in for her second try where her speed and evasive skills proved too much for the Shortland defence.
Madeline Wilton converted the try for Dungog to lead 10-6.
The rest of the game was real edge of your seat semi final football. Dungog defensively were magnificent in the second half with Megan Williams, Jemma Walters and Georgia Townsend leading the way.
In attack the Warriors continued to chance their arm in the windy conditions but breaks were hard to come by although Morris and Emily Marshall always looked dangerous with the ball.
With time running out Shortland continued to attack the Dungog try line causing plenty of anxious moments on the side line but the Ladies held their nerve to go on and record a memorable victory.
Every Dungog player stood tall on the day and thoroughly deserved to win and join the All Age side in next week's grand finals.
Dungog 10 A Morris 2 tries M Wilton 1 goal
Shortland 6 1 try, 1 goal
Player of the Match Megan Williams, Players Player Jemma Walters.
The whole season all goes on the line this Saturday at Lakeside with the LLT game against Stroud to kick off at 9.30am.
Both teams have met four times this year with the ledger 3-1 in the Raiders favour with three of the games decided by four points.
Stroud got the jump on the Warriors in the major semi but if Dungog display the same grit and determination on show last Saturday they are more than capable of coming away with the title.
The All Age game against the Raiders kicks off at 1.45pm and the Warriors will go in as slight favourites having beaten the Raiders in all three clashes this season but in saying that there is not a struck match between the two teams.
Dungog survived a second half comeback from Stroud in the first round of the semis and then beat Clarence Town to advance to the grand final.
One thing for sure is there is no reason not to don the Maroon and Gold and head down to Lakeside this Saturday and cheer on the Warriors.
