Holiday fun at Dungog Library

Looking for something for your children to do during the last few weeks of the holidays?

The (air-conditioned) Dungog Library is just the place to go.

As well as providing a great range of the latest reading materials to entice young minds the librarians have continued their tradition of providing holiday activities.

Fancy making slime-glue paper gliders and straw rockets?

That’s the next science-based activity at the library on Wednesday January 23 at 10.30am.

Suitable for school aged children the event is free – but bookings are required – call the library on 4992 1819 .

Waste Education Officer with JR Richards recently ran a fun workshop showing how to make necklaces and headbands from scrap rope, material scraps and other recycled objects.

The girls were very proud of their up-cycled creations as you can see from our photo gallery.

The Dungog Library is open at the following times:

Tuesday & Thursday – 10.30 am - 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm

Wednesday & Friday from 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm

Saturday from 9.30 am - 12.00 noon

Closed every Monday.
