September in Dungog is shaping up to be a month to remember with numerous events in the lead up to the Dungog Festival on the long weekend.

With more than $5000 in prizemoney up for grabs the show has attracted wide interest with 277 entries.
The judge this year is professional photographer Roger Skinner and entries in the photographic section have increased to make it the second most popular category.
The event this year is in a new venue – the Festival Lounge – in Dowling Street opposite the IGA.
Society members warmly invite people to attend the opening from 6.30pm with nibbles and drinks and of course plenty of art to appreciate, for a donation of $10. The show continues until the October long weekend.
