The stall operates from 8.30am – 12pm every Saturday morning in the CWA courtyard in Dowling Street where growers sell produce picked either that day or the night before.
The Stall started in September 2012, having been set up by a group of volunteers, members of Local Living Dungog. Of the 36 initial growers, 13 still attend and there around 25 growers each week with fresh produce, eggs and honey.
Growers register their produce, nominate their price and receive 90% of the sales with the Growers Stall keeping 10% of the sales to cover costs. Donations to support various community projects are made from funds raised.
New growers and volunteers are always welcome at the stall.
