Nominations are rolling in for the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce 2018 Business Awards.

“Each year, these awards raise awareness of the contribution local businesses and individuals bring to the community and reward those that have provided great service throughout the year,” said Chamber President Jennifer Lewis.
There are 12 categories open for nomination – Tourism and Hospitality; Rural Producers and Manufacturing and Industry; Professional Services; Trades and Construction; Outstanding Employee under 25; Outstanding Employee over 25; Retail; Customer Service; Environment and Sustainability; Outstanding New Business; Community Sector (for not for profit organisations) and “The Hall of Fame” award which was introduced last year.
The Hall of Fame inductee is a person who has made a significant contribution to business in the shire over a number of years, having had a positive impact on the community.
Winner of the inaugural Hall of Fame Award was Chris Iacono from Bunna Bunoo Olive Grove.
Other special awards which are not open for nomination are the Chamber members Award and the overall Business Excellence Award.
The Dungog Chronicle is a proud supporter of the awards which recognise businesses in the district and the contribution they make to our community.
The winner of the Overall Business Excellence category will receive an advertising package with the Chronicle valued at over $5,000.00.
Nominations can be lodged by either a customer or the business operator themselves..
Nomination forms can be found at businesses throughout the Shire and you can also nominate on line by heading to the chamber’s website www.ddcc.org.au.

Nominations will close on Wednesday April 11 and winners will be announced at a presentation dinner at The Dungog Memorial RSL Club on Saturday, May 12.
