Fort, fresh off his maiden first grade century in Maitland, is part of the Australian under-17 team taking on the best state teams in Tasmania.
The under-17 teams was selected after the under-17 championships.
The 16-year-old from Paterson, opened the batting for ACT/NSW Country and scored 318 runs in his eight at an average of 39.75 to finish fourth in the overall batting aggregate.
His aggregate included two innings of 70, one innings of 63 and another of 59.
ACT/NSW Country missed out on the semi-finals but had three of NSW’s six players named in the Australian under-17 team.
Fort will be joined by Charlestown all-rounder Glenn Winsor and Dominic O'Shannessy from the Bowral Blues. The Australia Under 17s start their campaign against Vic Metro.
