Dungog High School grounds are now home to a Lone Pine tree.
The Lone Pine was a solitary tree on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey, which marked the site of the Battle of Lone Pine in 1915.
On Wednesday, April 26, the high school held its annual Anzac Service.
Guest speaker for the ceremony was LACW Samantha Johnston from RAAF Williamtown who spoke on her experiences in the RAAF and the significance of Anzac Day.
Greg Godde, Dungog RSL Sub-Branch Vice President was invited to the ceremony to recite the Ode.
As part of the ceremony a Lone Pine Tree donated by Mrs Georgina Clarke was officially unveiled on the school grounds by LACW Sam Johnston, Mr Greg Godde and Mrs Janene McIntosh (Principal) along with student representatives.
