The Mud Run is held at the Gresford Showground for Hot Rod enthusiasts by invitation only which the public can also attend.
Mud Run President Joal Butcher said that since using the Gresford showground for the event, the Trustees had been open to ideas.
“They have listened and worked with our club to the point that we now have a family oriented event,” he said.
“Because of the Trust’s ability and assistance provided to us over the years this donation is our way of saying thank you for allowing us to get up and running.”
The Showground Trust Secretary Rosemary Wall thanked the Mud Run members for the donation and said the event was “part of the furniture now and is important to the community”.
