Dungog Arts Society opened its annual Art Prize exhibition on Friday night and judge Bridgette Uren, cultural director of Maitland Regional Art Gallery, presented category winners with their honours.

The event attracted 214 entries and the society’s treasurer Toby Solomon said that sales to date had been strong.
“We had a wonderful opening night, with music from Springtide and finger food provided by the CWA,” Ms Solomon said.

“Everyone’s been telling us what a good time they had and many of our guests commented on the high standard of entries.”
Voting in the viewer’s choice award is still open.
The exhibition will be open until Sunday, September 18 between 10am and 3pm.
