The students dressed in period costume as they participated in a day of activities to replicate life on the Australian gold fields.
They panned for gold and in return received gold coins – which to their delight turned out to be chocolate.
Former student and My Kitchen Rules Tresne Middleton helped the students prepare a beef stew and damper which was cooked over the fire.
