Do you have a spare winter coat you no longer wear, or a sleeping bag that you don’t use? Throughout the month of May, iTravel Cessnock is collecting coats, jackets and sleeping bags for adults and children that will be donated to local homeless support service Soupz On. It’s part of a nationwide appeal by iTravel, and the Cessnock office decided to reach out to Soupz On and support the local community. “You would be amazed at the number of people who are homeless in Cessnock,” iTravel Cessnock director Narelle Cook said. Soupz On will pass the donations onto the people who utilise their soup kitchen in Darwin Street on Friday and Saturday nights. Donations can be dropped off at iTravel Cessnock (123 Vincent Street) until the end of May.
