But the 23-year-old can’t wait for the gates to open on the Gentlemen of the Road Dungog stopover.
The concert announcement was, he said, a “pleasant shock” and he’s looking forward to the influx of visitors to the town as momentum gathers for the big event.
“It’s a huge local event, a once in a lifetime event but hopefully something which will happened a bit more often in the future,” Michael said. “It’s a huge attraction for the town.”
Of the seven-act bill, it is the headliners Mumford and Sons who Michael is looking forward to most.
“How they arrived on the scene is quite interesting,” he said. “They’ve developed quite a cult following, not just here in Australia but worldwide.
“Dungog will put on quite a good show. I think the town will be able to cope quite well.
“It will be interesting to see the volume of people in the town. It will be a well worthwhile event and, hopefully, the start of many more.”
