Now there is even more reason to embrace your artistic side as new sponsor of the event, Inspired by Design has donated a highly commended award of $100 to the adults section.
"We think it's going to be a really good thing, a change in venue and a little bit of a boost in prize money," Dungog Arts Societies new president Lisa Wiseman said.
"We've had an increase in the junior sections from Doug Spedding and the medical practise as well."
Although entries are still open, the Arts Society has already received works from as far Medowie and Morisset.
"We've had quite an influx of new members," Ms Wiseman said.
Another big change that the Archies has seen is the venue moving from the Arts Societies own gallery to the Royal Hotel's function room.
"Last year we only ran it for a weekend and we had lots of people coming in saying that they didn't get to see it so this year we'll have it for a week long to give as many people as possible a chance to come and see," Ms Wiseman said.
Entries for the Dungog Archies close on Monday, March 25. The opening of the gallery is set for Thursday, March 28. For more information visit Dungog Arts Societies website.
