DUNGOG SHIRE
Venues across Dungog are getting ready to celebrate Australia Day on Friday, January 6. Clarence Town's Erringhi Hotel is hosting an Aussie Backyard Barbeque with the bar opening at 10am. The Hotel Beatty in Gresford will be hosting TNR Band from 6pm. The Settlers Arms Hotel will be holding a backyard party with a barbecue all day. Dungog Council's Australia Day Award Ceremony start at 8am with a breakfast put on by Dungog Rotary Club with the official ceremony starting at 9am at the James Theatre, Dungog.
DUNGOG COMMON'S 150TH ANNIVERSARY AND OPENING OF PUMP TRACK

The Dungog Common Recreation Reserve are excited to announce the celebration of 150 years since the creation and public gazetting of the Dungog Common followed by the opening of the newly refurbished pump track on Friday, January 19. The event will start from 10am at the Common Road car park.

From 8.30am to 12pm every Saturday, visit the CWA Hall courtyard at 199 Dowling Street, Dungog for the Grower's Stall. There will be fresh produce by local farmers, market gardeners and backyard growers, including vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, honey and jams. Cash only.

Clarence Town Markets will next be held on Sunday, January 21 at Clarence Town Bowling Sport and Recreation Club from 8am to 12pm. Dungog Community Markets are on the first Saturday of every month at the Dungog Anglican Church grounds from 8am to 2pm. Pick up some handmade items, soaps, cakes, plants, vintage goods and bric a brac.
CREATING SCULPTURES FROM CARDBOARD
UNITING CHURCH HALL, 246 DOWLING STREET
Conducted by Newcastle based mixed media artist, Syann Williams, this workshop invites participants to explore the art of creating abstract sculptures from recycled cardboard. Emphasising eco-friendly practices, attendees will learn about the properties of cardboard, construction techniques, and artistic finishing touches.
