The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) have been forced to limit access to a number of roads in the Dungog Shire as a result of ongoing grassfires.
These roads include Salisbury road from the intersection of Chichester road, Allyn River road from the intersection at Dalisbury Gap road and Salisbury Gap road.
As well as these roads Williams Picnic area, Blue Gum Walk and the Lagoon Picnic area are all closed as well.
The Allyn River visitors sites including camping and day sites are all closed as well as the Allyn River Forest road and Williams Top road. There is currently also no access from Shellbrook road or Paterson Forest road.
EARLIER UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 20, 1.40PM
The grassfire along Torryburn road has been put out and is no longer visible on the RFS website.
PREVIOUSLY:
Rural Fire Service firefighters are attending an out of control grass fire on Torryburn Road near Gresford Road.
An RFS spokesperson said the fire is currently at the advice level and poses no threats.
The RFS has recently arrived on the scene.
Another out of control grass fire has burnt 132 hectares along the Allyn River Road, according to Fires Near Me.
A grass fire along Stroud Hill Road is currently being controlled while another near Tanna road, Glenn Martin is under control.
This series of fires comes after a total fire ban was placed across the Hunter until midnight on September 20, meaning no fires, including grinding and welding activities, are permitted out in the open.
Report all fires immediately to triple zero.
