How we move through life starts with a choice

When it comes to the issues of human spirit, attitude and behaviour there's always room for improvement.

It's always possible to be better today than we were yesterday.

Given that, it's probably never possible to be the very best version of ourselves ... but that's no excuse for not putting some effort into trying.

Enhancement is progress. Anything less is wasted time and promise. We neither know the time we have nor do we have any real understanding or appreciation of what we can achieve.

More Lifestyle:

Some people will live a short time and achieve great things. Others will live a long life and have minimal impact on their surroundings. The reason for that disparity is clear and simple ... choice.

We all have the capacity for change. It's our choice whether we change up or change down.

We can become the victims of our past mistakes or the architects of our promising future.

There's nothing we can experience that's new. Someone, somewhere and at some time has gone through or is going through a matching set of circumstances.

The first step is to be open to change; to realise that tomorrow brings with it new promise and new opportunity; and to accept that dramatic change is a rarity.

Often though the effort of putting one foot in front of the other and consistently moving forward is reward enough.
