Dungog Shire Council's Local Weeds Advisory Committee is hosting the event at Munni.
According to the Council's Manager of Environmental Services Paul Minett, the event will provide land owners and managers with information ahead of the spring growing season.

"The experts will talk about traditional chemical treatment and also alternatives to the reliance on chemicals which we have found many landholders are seeking.
"The Council's Weeds Advisory Committee comprises a number of local private and government landholders who considered it important that information be provided to assist people when it comes to weed management.
"It is also an opportunity to provide advice on landholders new responsibilities under the Biosecurity Act."
The field day will be held on private property at 539 Salisbury Road Munni from 10am until 12pm with a sausage sizzle and an opportunity to discuss weed management with the expert speakers.
