To add further to the night’s entertainment the game will be preceded by a women’s league tag game between Stroud and Tea Gardens.
Stroud won last year’s local derby fixture 14 -0 and the Warriors will be keen to regain the shield on its home turf.
Both the teams will be keen to get a win after both losing in the opening round of the Challenge Cup and another keenly contested affair is to be expected between these two sides.
Dungog have lost a few players from last years side but showed enough in its first hit out against Belmont South to indicate that once the new players this season spend more time on the field the team will only get better.
One thing for sure is that it will be a great nights entertainment with a large crowd anticipated which is par for the course when both these teams meet.
The women’s league tag game will kick off at 6.15pm with the Charity shield game between the Warriors and the Raiders to kick off following that.
Following the game Dungog will hold its annual jumper auction back at the RSL. Punters are asked to get along and please dig deep when asked to contribute on the gate because all gate money raised on the night goes to charity. In other Warriors news, Trai Brekelmans, Jordan Campbell, Harry Boorer and Luke Rits trialed last week for a place in the Newcastle U23s representative side.
