In what may well have been their best performance of the year, the Sharks set up the win by dismissing Clarence Town for 134 in 34.5 overs.
Karuah’s batsmen were determined to secure the major-minor premiership double and reeled in the target in 23 overs with the loss of two wickets.
A 104-run partnership between Brent Bills (60 not out) and David Foot (47 not out) saw the Sharks’ home.
Bills opened the innings with Mark Woolard who got Karuah off to a flying start with a quick-fire 20 before being bowled.
Brett Carter was out for four, but that was the last joy for Clarence Town in the field with Tony Maytom (1-37) and Mathew Horn (1-19) their sole wicket takers.
It was a disappointing end for Clarence Town after a bright start when they won the toss and had reached 2/113.
Matthew Horn (23) was the first man out with the score on 43.
Mick and Rhys Flannery took the score to 113 when Mick was out for 47.
It sparked a major collapse and the next seven batsmen contributed just six runs between them.
Rhys was out for 40 with the score on 6/123 and the innings was all over for the addition of just 11 more runs.
Brad Pinch was the chief wicket taker finishing with 4-23 off 6.5 overs. Andrew Studdert took 3-23 and Mark Bills (2-23) and Josh Simms 1-12 picked up the remaining wickets.
The Sharks completed the minor-major premiership double finishing on top of the table in the regular season two points clear of Bunnies and Gresford.
Clarence Town finished fourth on the ladder and accounted for Bunnies and Gresford to meet Karuah Red in the final.
The division two (fifth to ninth) grand final was taken out Wallarobba who defeated Karuah White 6/214 to 126.
The Dungog and District Cricket Association awards presentation will be held at the Dungog Bowling Club on Sunday, March 11, from noon.
