Perfect weather was the order of the day for the first fete Clarence Town Public School has held in five years.
The rain was kept at bay for the fun event which attracted around 1500 people.
The School’s P and C Treasurer Kerrie Salter said thanks to the great attendance and generous sponsors the fete has been hailed a success.
“We had a lot of new people come through the gates and it was a great opportunity for us to showcase our school and all it has to offer,” she said.
The profit is still being tallied but Mrs Salter said the P and C hopes to raise enough funds to erect a new school sign, more seating and improve the technology in the classrooms.
The P and C has previously raised funds to put a refrigerator in every classroom.
