Between 300 and 400 people, including ex-servicemen and women, residents, school students, Scouts, police, politicians and SES members, paid their respects at the moving ceremony.
“We’re honoured to see so many here this morning,” Scone RSL Sub-Branch president Val Quinell said.
“It’s getting bigger every year.
“I think it’s because people are more aware of the significance of Anzac Day these days.
“We are truly thrilled by the response.”
The march, which travels from the Belmore Hotel to the War Memorial at Barwick House, is scheduled to step off at 10.45am.
The unique feature of the commemoration – a flyover – takes place at 11am.
