Fire near Dungog
Lower Hunter firefighters responded to a grass fire that broke out at Main Creek, near Dungog on Monday night.
Crews from Dungog, Clarence Town and Flat Tops were called out to the Monkerai Road fire about 6.30pm.
The blaze was controlled, but crews were still patrolling on Tuesday morning due to the hot, windy conditions.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
