Exciting news with plans for our first business event of the year, the 2017 Dungog Shire Business Expo, well underway.

It is scheduled to take place on Saturday March 4, from 1pm at the James Theatre, and any business operators or service providers in the Dungog Shire are welcome to exhibit.
Full details of the event can be found in this edition of the Chronicle.
We are hoping to showcase to the local and wider community the diverse and unique businesses we have right here, on our doorstep.
The event, which will open to the public hopes to attract not only locals but interest from outside the Shire.
If you are free on the day, come along invite your relatives and friends, be an ambassador for local business and help promote the Dungog Shire.
RELAY FOR LIFE
Dungog Shire Relay for Life will be held at the Dungog Showground from 2pm on March 25 to 8am on March 26.
This year the theme is Over the Rainbow.
There are many ways for businesses to get involved.
A trivia night to raise funds will take place at the RSL on Saturday 18th February.
Arrange a business team for the trivia night and/or arrange a business team to take part in the relay.
You can also support the relay by decorating your business on Purple and Yellow Day across Shire on Friday 24th March.
Enquires should be directed to Lyn on 0402324164
BUSINESS AWARDS
Plans are also well underway for the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
This year’s awards promise to be bigger and better than ever.
They will culminate with our gala awards presentation awards night when we will return to the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall on the May 13.
So make sure you save the date and start thinking about who you will nominate this year.
We are also looking for expressions of interest for sponsorship for the awards.
