The 2016 Dungog Festival has been labeled “sensational” in what the organiser has said was their biggest event yet.

The festival is an initiative of Dungog Arts Foundation, and the foundation’s managing director Tracy Norman said she was pleased with how the weekend went.
“It’s been really sensational,” she said. “We’re really happy with the reaction.”
A performance by Pseudo Echo, the sausage making workshop and a lazy, long lunch at Munni House were among the most popular events.
Ms Norman said it was great to see a year’s worth of hard work pay off.
“It is a lot of work,” she said. “I get amazed every year at how much work the volunteers put in. It’s great to see it come to fruition and have such positive feedback.”
Festival fans won’t have to wait another year for the fun to return, with a Dungog Festival event planned for May 2017.
