Following a series of public meetings and creation of the Dungog Regional Tourism Inc a selection committee has now been appointed in order to accept applications for board positions.

Seven board members will be appointed for a term of three years.
Applicants should be passionate about tourism issues and challenges and have skills in one or more of business, marketing, governance, finance or strategy.
Positions on the board are voluntary and members will required to attend at least six meetings per year.
If you are keen to help establish the organisation as the recognised regional tourism industry body within the region, encourage and develop an integration of the tourism industry within the region and promote the importance of tourism to all businesses, then contact Matthew Coxhill, Chair Selection Committee, email matthew@fishtail.com.au.
The Dungog District Chamber of Commerce has recently produced a brochure to promote the Dungog region to groups and individuals as a unique and must-see destination.
The brochure, Visit Dungog District and Surrounds, is a professionally produced four-page colour brochure.
It contains information for the visitor about the many attractions in the region, a spring calendar of events together with advertising and promotion of participating businesses.
This initiative of the Chamber was designed to offer advertising opportunities for members, promote visitation to the area offer assistance with itineraries to ensure the most is made out of their visit.

Our next Chamber dinner network meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15 at the Flying Duck Café, 82 Gresford Road, Vacy at 6.30pm.
