Dungog Loveys SUPA IGA has donated $5000 to the groups – $2000 to the SES, and $1500 each to the two schools.
Dungog Public School will use the money to rejuvenate the Positive Behaviour for Learning program.
IGA owner Peter Trappel said the money had come from the community chest program.
“Money from the sale of certain goods is put into a fund and it’s up to individual stores as to how it’s distributed,” he said.“We try to share them around to multiple organisations and give it to groups where we think it can do the most good.
The store is introducing a five per cent seniors discount from September 8.
