The Kondinin Group - ABC Rural Australian Farmer of the Year Awards are back in a new format designed to recognise outstanding agricultural achievement.
Farmers can nominate themselves or their colleagues into the flagship Australian Farmer of the Year and Young Farmer of the Year award categories. Nominations are open to individuals and families involved in farming enterprises or rural communities
New categories have been introduced this year to recognise the rural champions.
Farming Legend of the Year award is for farmers who have made a lifetime contribution to the industry, showing resilience, nous, knowledge and outstanding
Rural Community Leader of the Year award highlights unsung heroes who keep farming communities vibrant
Farm Consultant of the Year award pays tribute to the hard-working consultants who help farmers achieve outstanding results
Award winners will be announced and presented at the Australian Farmer of the Year Awards luncheon in Canberra on the November 10. They will also feature on the Country Hour on ABC Radio and appear in a commemorative feature in the November edition of Farming Ahead magazine.
The Australian Farmer of the Year awards acknowledge the support of platinum sponsor WFI and media partner RM Williams OUTBACK Magazine.
