The Clown Doctors national day of fundraising, Smile Day, is always held in April.
The Clown Doctors are a not-for-profit organisation that treats sick kids in hospital with a different kind of medicine – fun and laughter.
Dungog branch staff hosted a bake sale and lolly guessing competition. Dungog Branch manager Karen Hancock, said staff recognise the vital role Clown Doctors play in the lives of the children they visit.
“We’re very proud to have supported them for more than 17 years,” she said.
“Through our fundraising day, we will support the Clown Doctors achieve their goal of conducting more clown rounds in hospitals across Australia.
“We encouraged local residents to come into the branch, share some laughs and make a donation.”
Donations to the Clown Doctors can also be made at any CommBank Bank branch or online at commbank.com.au/clowndoctors.
