Selby is very accident-prone and gets himself into all sorts of trouble, trying to keep his ability to talk a secret.
He fears that if anyone finds out he can talk, they will want to send him off to a laboratory for investigation, or, even worse, make him work for a living.
Selby’s stories are fun for parents and kids alike and last between five and 10 minutes, just long enough to sit and eat breakfast before heading off to school.
The Selby stories have been nominated as a finalist in the SCMA excellence in community broadcasting awards.
Author of the stories, Duncan Ball, has donated four little Selbys which Dungog Radio will give away to the first four callers under 10 years of age (phone 4992 2313) – so tune in for a chance to win your own Selby dog.
And if you get hooked on this little dog and his stories, you can always go and buy a Selby book, of which there are many – but remember they are even more fun when read out loud.
