Traditionally held during the first week in July, this coincided with the school holidays, so students celebrated the event during the first week of term.
NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee.
Its origins can be traced to the emergence of Aboriginal groups in the 1920s which sought to increase awareness in the wider community of the status and treatment of Indigenous Australians.
The theme this year was recognising the sacrifices made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people during times of war.
The students were allowed to go out of uniform and were asked to wear the colours of the Aboriginal flag.
They rotated around different activities including games, art, music and Dreamtime stories.
