Woolworths has some half price specials as well as some price drops on items.
- Golden Crumpets Round 6 Pack - was $4.40 and is now $2.20 (cost saving of $2.20)
- Woolworths Pork Loin Roast Boneless Small 1.2kg to 2kg - was $14 per kilogram and is now $12 per kilogram (cost saving of $2)
- Dettol Multipurpose Disinfectant Cleaning Wipes Fresh 220 Pack - was $18 and is now $12.60 (cost saving of $5.40)
- Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Mini Apples 5 Pack - was $3.50 and is now $2.50 (cost saving of $1)
- Woolworths Solanato Tomato Punnet 200g - was $4.50 and is now $3 (cost saving of $1.50)
Coles
Coles has dropped prices on a number of items.
- Coles Dry Roasted Mixed Nuts 400g - was $12 and is now $9 (cost saving of $3)
- Family Fave's Crumbed Chicken Tenders 1kg - was $21.50 and is now $10 (cost saving of $11.50)
- Mr Muscle Disinfectant Spray Air Freshener Garden Breeze 325g - was $9 and is now $5.40 (cost saving of $3.60)
- Coles Lamb Forequarter Chops approx 1.3kg - was $20.80 and is now $16.25 (cost saving of $4.55)

Aldi's has super savers for this week as well as for the month, some of which include the following items.

- Lyttos Greek Style Yogurt 1kg - was $5.99 and is now $5.49 (cost saving of 50c)

Cost of living
According to recent data from Canstar Blue, households spend about $160 a week on their supermarket shop on average.
This equates to almost $693 a month and $8320 a year.
Canstar Blue surveyed 1000 households of varying sizes in August and found that in NSW, the average household spend on groceries is $159.
