Starting with a game against Hinton Men's, the Warriors lost their second game of the season on the night of Tuesday, August 2.
However Warriors coach Matt Hinton isn't concerned.
"I rested a few players. We'll finish second regardless," Hinton said.
Following their relatively disappointing first game of the week, the Warriors prepared to play against Morpeth for their final game of the season.
The final game also fell on the clubs Old Boys day.
This is a day where old players from the club come and watch the new generation play and share memories with them after, according to Hinton.
"There would have been 100 old boys there. We went and had a beer with them after the game up on the hill and sang the song with the old boys," Hinton said.
"We had a lot of guys from the 1975 team. We had a lot of guys from the 1992 team. It was really special."
Coach Hinton sees this day as one of the most important days for the club.
"Basically if the guys on the hill weren't there, the club wouldn't be here," he said.
With the season coming to a close, Hinton expects the team to end up second on the ladder to Stroud/Clarence Town.
Regardless of what the premiership games hold, Hinton is proud of what the Warriors have been able to achieve throughout the regular season.
"I'm proud of their efforts and what they've sacrificed for me as a captain coach and for the club," Hinton said.
"In saying that, now we've got to reset and go again."
Hinton and his boys have the week off to train and prepare for the upcoming premiership games, the first of which is against Gloucester Men's.
"We've got to put in some solid training over the next two weeks," Hinton said.
"I said to the boys, if they give me a month of their life I think we can do something special."
Hinton is also preparing for their derby against Stroud/Clarence Town later in the premiership.
Dates for the premiership games are yet to be released due to some teams playing a final game this week.
