Winning 36-4, Dungog's performance can still be improved, according to coach Matt Hinton.
"It was pretty scrappy. I made some changes, I rested five guys that are normally in the starting team," Hinton said.
Previously, Dungog beat Raymond Terrace 12-4 in round three of the competition.
The Warriors "man up mentality", or their ability to match a team in their physicality, is what set them apart over the weekend, according to Hinton.
"We speak about that man up mentality, if you get put in a spot you have to do that job and that's exactly what they've done," Hinton said.
Kicking off the Sunday game at their home ground of Bennett Park, Dungog started the game slowly.
"We were a bit flat in the warm up. I don't know whether it was because it was a Sungay game or the energy wasn't quite there," Hinton said.
"We kicked to them first and they punched through us once or twice in the first set. We didn't stick to them physically."
However, after 20 minutes of footy Dungog clicked into gear, as any good footy team should according to Hinton.
The weak start raised some red flags with Hinton and he has said that it is something that the team will work on in the future.
"If we started like we did on the weekend, one of the top teams would have two tries on us before we woke up," Hinton said.
"We need to be better than that. We need to start better."
Despite this, Dungog went on to have a dominant game with the score line reflecting this. One of the highlights was in the last ten minutes, following a long ball from Cody Argent, Will Duck passed out to the wing to Lee Nevins.
"Everything looked slick as slick could be. There was a couple of good tries scored from Cody Argent to Will Duck, onto his winger," Hinton said.
"The left side was pretty polished."
In the end, the try scorers for Dungog were Blake Cork, Travis Crouch, Lee Nevin, Matt Hinton and William Duck scored two.
Oliver Pritchard converted four of the tries.
Next week, the Warriors are facing Hinton Men's after beating them 50 - 4 in the previous week.
Dungog coach Hinton wants Dungog to prepare as if it were any other game.
"I keep saying to the boys, it doesn't matter where teams are on the ladder we need to prepare for the team that's coming last the same as we prepare for the team coming second," Hinton said.
Kick off against Hinton men's is set for 1pm on Sunday, July 3, at Stuart Park.
