A man visiting Queensland to attend his brother's wedding called their mother a "stunned mullet" during a drunken argument before he was fatally stabbed, a court has been told.

Bernard John Robbins is on trial in a Brisbane court charged with murdering Gregory Robbins, 61, at a home in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast in 2019.
Three days later 59-year-old Bernard Robbins was due to get married.
His brother had arrived from Perth on June 12 to attend the wedding.
That same day - before unpacking his travel bag - an argument broke out between the men who were drinking on the patio of the unit Bernard Robbins shared with the woman he was due to marry.
The men were bickering "over little things" like veganism before the situation escalated into "more of an argument", the groom-to-be's daughter Annie Robbins told the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday.
Ms Robbins said her father seemed to calm down when speaking to her alone, but things flared up again.
The men called each other names before it appeared they were going to have a fight, only to be separated by their partners and Ms Robbins.
The 27-year-old said it was "out of character" for her father to be so angry.
Gregory Robbins referred to their mother - who received extensive care from Bernard Robbins and died earlier that year - as a stunned mullet, Ms Robbins confirmed during cross-examination.
Her drunken uncle also asked if Bernard Robbins wanted to "take this outside" and asked the bride-to-be Sally Doring if she was really going to "marry this c***", Ms Robbins confirmed.
The court heard earlier comments made by Ms Doring suggested the wedding may be in jeopardy because of Bernard Robbins' behaviour.
He asked his brother several times to leave, later putting his suitcases on the driveway.
After briefly feeling relieved her uncle and his partner were leaving, Ms Robbins heard arguing.
"It got really, really heated and they were looking like they were going to get into a physical fight," she said.
While phoning police Ms Robbins heard screaming and ran into the garage where she saw her uncle and her father together falling to the ground.
She grabbed her father's jumper, pulling him away from Gregory Robbins, thinking they were fighting, she told the court.
Instead Gregory Robbins had been stabbed seven times, with four wounds, eight to 12 centimetres deep, inflicted close to his heart.
"(Dad) was very pale, like confused, in shock," Ms Robbins said.
Bernard Robbins went back to his brother, tapping his face, saying, "Stay awake, stay awake," she added.
Asked if she remembered saying anything, Ms Robbins said she was "probably just yelling for everything to stop".
She again pulled her father away from Gregory Robbins when "he yelled at Karen to shut up because ... she was very upset and screaming".
Gregory Robbins' partner Karen Vanden Driesen earlier told the court she saw Bernard Robbins holding his brother in a head-lock, punching him continuously before seeing blood.
"I was screaming, 'You're killing him, you're killing him'", she said.
Gregory Robbins was stabbed in a "crime of passion", dying in hospital in the early hours of the following morning, prosecutor Christopher Cook earlier told the jury.
Police later estimated Bernard Robbins had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.182 at the time of the stabbing, while his brother's BAC level was 0.217.
The trial continues on Friday before Chief Justice Catherine Holmes.
