Hunter Valley Gardens' annual Christmas Lights Spectacular returned on November 5 and will run until January 26 (excluding Christmas Day).
The show boasts more than three million lights across a number of walk-through exhibits and interactive attractions, with a fireworks display planned for New Year's Eve.
The Gardens' marketing manager, Kim Jacobs, described the show as a "wonderful escape" after a tough year.
"Our rides, attractions and lights are back with some amendments and carefully thought out COVID-safe measures in place to ensure everyone can attend safely and finish off the year with cherished memories," she said.
In keeping with NSW COVID-19 public health precautions, visitors were required this year to book tickets advance and organisers said they would adhere to capacity restrictions.
