The school held the event in conjunction with Youth Express on September 18.
Youth Express organised a sausage sizzle with every person who bought a sausage having the chance to draw out a voucher in the lucky dip.
"The lucky dip had 200 pieces of folded paper with a yellow ribbon attached," explained Sam Russell, Program Facilitator with Youth Express.
"There were 180 positive messages and 20 vouchers kindly donated by Dungog local businesses.
"Thanks to Dungog Pizza, Loveys IGA, Long Room Cafe, GLD Photography, Get Lashed by Mads, Dungog High School Canteen."
Dungog High School also had cupcakes for sale and $534 was raised during lunch time.
Mr Russell said Youth Express is keen to link up with Headspace Maitland, Dungog Community Centre and Mindaribba LALC and hold an annual event at Dungog High School
