The organisation's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 16 at 5pm for 5.30pm at the CWA premises, 199 Dowling Street, Dungog.
The centre has been a vital part of the shire community for more than 35 years said President Allen Shrimpton.
"New members are always welcome but there is a definite position available for a treasurer," said Mr Shrimpton.
"If anyone in the community is interested in being on the board we have seven positions available with so far only four nominations."
Mr Shrimpton said the treasurer role was not onerous as the centre had an excellent bookkeeper that carried much of the load.
The board members meet once every one to two months and more often for the executive.
As well as a Centrelink agency the centre conducts a range of services for the community including an emergency relief program and youth programs.
Mr Shrimpton said it was important the board positions were filled so the centre would not leave the community.
Since Covid the centre has been extremely busy - the Centrelink service is regarded as an essential service and has been busy fielding calls and meeting people.
The centre's handling of emergency service relief in the wake of the 2015 flood is now being used as an example for other community service organisations across the country, Mr Shrimpton said.
New members are warmly welcome to attend the meeting and light refreshments will be served
Membership and nomination forms are available from the centre or online from the secretary.
