After eight years of policing in Sydney and another 10 years in Newcastle and the Hunter, Gresford has offered a change of pace. The chance to be involved in community policing at the one-man station is yet another reason Senior Constable Hansen enjoys his career and the opportunities it offers.
As would be expected from the tight-knit community, Gresford has warmly welcomed Senior Constable Hansen, his wife Nikki and their children Jake and Ayla.
"It's been really great," he said, adding he looked forward to being able to communicate with residents.
He's also looking forward to joining a cricket and soccer team when they start back again.
