Dungog Shire Council will start the much awaited work on the Dungog netball courts later this month - weather permitting.
The council received a $254,485 NSW state government grant for the work. Member for Upper Hunter Michael Johnsen announced the funding as part of the Stronger Country Communities Fun at the end of 2018.
The council will replace the crumbling old asphalt courts with concrete courts.
The work is expected to take several months and the council has been working with the Dungog and Districts Netball Association who train at the courts.
