On a perfectly cool Christmas Day a large group of Dungog's citizens, young and elderly, gathered at Dungog Public School for the annual Community Christmas Lunch.
Dungog Shire's Community Centre has hosted the event since 2009.
Team Leader Chris Fibbens said the wonderful venue was not only the backdrop for a yummy lunch.
"(It was) a chance to catch up with old friends or meet new ones," he said.
There was a visit from Santa Claus and an impromptu musical performance by Neville.
"All the ingredients needed for a wonderful Dungog Christmas."
On behalf of the Community Centre Mr Fibbens thanked the school, sponsors and volunteers who all go to make this annual event the success it is.
"It's remarkable that after 11 years the school continues to provide the venue, sponsors stay with us and many of our volunteers have been with us since day one," he said.
"And it was special to welcome guests Mayor Tracy Norman and a young couple from overseas who were experiencing their first ever Australian Christmas.
"It's on again in 2020."
