Vane-Wood's 104 and a crucial 51 by Russell Presland ensured Paterson posted 5/212 to eclipse the 202-run target set by Old Victoria.

Both teams were intent on scoring runs quickly, but no one more so than Old Victoria's No.6 Chris Dawes who smashed 88 off just 55 balls to set up his side's total of 7/201 off 39 overs.

Rod Faulkner ended Dawes' big hitting when he had him caught behind by Vane-Wood.

Opener Dominic Bourke was the other mainstay of the innings with 46.

Faulker finished with 3-34 off six overs and Jason Watson took 2-29 from his six.

Paterson were in all sorts of trouble in reply falling to 4-39 until Vane-Wood and Presland staged their comeback.

The two combined for a 96-run partnership before Presland was dismissed.

Vane-Wood then dominated the run-scoring sharing in a 77-run partnership with Matthew Holmes who contributed eight.

In D-grade, Paterson pushed Belmore Hotel after posting a respectable 156. Skipper Adam Hicks led the way with 43 and Harrison Bridges and Mitchell White contributed 31 and 26 respectively.

Paterson's bowlers made early inroads but a fine 52 retired not out by Ken Balcombe proved the difference as Belmore reached 6/160 in the final over.

Darren Crouch took 2-10 and Rodney Gane 2-18 to be the pick of the Paterson bowlers.

Bunnies No.4 Scott Gardner scored an unbeaten 121 taking control of his side's innings after the loss of two early wickets against Karuah.

Gardner's ton and contributions of 32 by Ethan Curtin-Edwards and 23 by Joe Gorton allowed Bunnies to post an impressive 9/237 from their 35 overs.

However, the weather intervened and play was called off with Karuah at 4/62 at the 17-over mark.

Curtin-Edwards picked up 2-19 and Brendon Cox 2-10.

Stroud's bowlers led by Zac Allen (5-11) dismissed Stockmans for just 75 to set up a seven-wicket.

Scott Edwards top scored with 32 not out as Stroud made 3/85 off 20 overs.
