There will displays in many forms, including some nativity books and the church is inviting people to bring their own nativities together to help celebrate the Christmas season.
"Some people have just one small nativity to contribute, others have an entire life size one with camels and sheep included," said parishioner Lurline Trustum.
Each year the display provides an area for families to have Christmas photos taken as part of the nativity, with costumes provided.
"This provides a different Christmas photo for the family than the one available in shopping centres," said Mrs Trustum.
The church will be open from 5pm Wednesday night to coincide with the Chamber of Commerce street parade and will include carolling both in front of and inside the church.
The church will then be open 10am to 5pm from Thursday December 5 until Sunday, December 8 for people to visit.
