There are currently four children braving the still cold mornings to show up to squad every morning - Wyatt, Talan, Isla and Draigh.
Squad training is held every Monday to Friday from 6.30am until 7.30am. Squad training is $5 per day.
Each week at swimming club there are three races covering different strokes.
Depending on their time and ability members are graded and then swim different distances such as 33m, 66m, or 100m.
"You aren't racing against the people in the other lanes, you collect points each week by improving your own time from previous swims," said race marshal Jeanie Briggs.
"There is also a pairs relay each week.

"You choose a buddy at the start of the season and each week swim with a handicapped time to collect points all season."
In between each race each week we have a 15m half lap race for our littlest swimmers until they are confident for a full lap.
This is a non competitive race so bubbles, noodles, or a helper are allowed in with them.
At the end of the season the club has a three person championship relay, a family relay and a business relay to get everyone in the water for a fun final day.
There are several club swimmers who have made it to state.
Anyone who reaches this level have their photo displayed in the pool foyer.
The records for swimming champions are proudly displayed on the honour boards around the pool foyer.
