The event at the town's football oval runs from 1pm until 11pm.
The Hoedown is a not-for-profit event organised for the community by the community. One of the organisers, Debbie Bruce, said The Williams River Caravan Park and The Erringhi Hotel are fully booked and Wharf Reserve Camping is filling up fast.
The favourite Ploughman's Lunch will be happening again this year, however the format has changed a little so as to open it up to all patrons. There will be a Ploughman's Fresh Stall with individual savoury taste boxes, homemade scones with homemade jam and cream, and freshly squeezed local lemonade.
The Up and Coming Stage from 1pm until 3pm showcases some of the younger local singers, Jess, Mia, Clare and Snofrid, The Reed Sisters (Katie Bagnall, Jess Robinson and Amie Tisdell), Trinity Woodhouse and Conor Smith from The Voice.
The Glen William School children will be dancing around 4.15pm.
Mainstage from 3pm to 11pm, will kick off with local band 24 Hours, followed by Aleyce Simmonds, The Viper Creek Band, The Wolfe Brothers and because the locals can't get enough, 24 Hours will play again.
"The quality of artists we are able to attract to the Dungog Shire is phenomenal, they're multi-award winning, chart topping artists," said another of the organisers, Katie Bagnall
In addition to the music there are quality markets, community displays, gourmet food and a licensed bar.
Entertainment for the children includes a mechanical bull, Kanga Chair Drop, Bungee Bouncers and a jumping castle. An unlimited play wristband is available for $25 from 1-7pm. Single ride tickets are also available if the adults want to give the bull a try.
"We truly have an all inclusive event for our community and we get so much support from the local businesses and all our volunteers," said Ms Bruce.
"It really showcases everyones' fantastic community spirit. Clarence Town should be proud."
