The club had three teams contesting grand finals at the Raymond Terrace Courts on Saturday, September 14 in the Port Stephens Netball Association winter competition.
They traveled out of Raymond Terrace with two out of three titles in three close games.
Dreamers played in Intermediate 4 division and finished the regular season before the finals as minor premiers.
The team won their semi finals and progressed straight through to grand final where they carried the burden of being red hot favourites to take the win.
They were competing against Kitty Kats (Glen Oak) who certainly made the Dreamers work hard and fight for the win. It was a close the entire game with the final score 33-31 to Dreamers.
Dragonflies competed in Intermediate 3 division and also finished the regular season as minor premiers.
While finishing at the top of the ladder, the Dragonflies did it the hard way to make grand final. They lost their semi final by just two goals to then win their final by six goals.
Grand final day saw the Dragonflies playing against Sparkles (Medowie), fighting to be crowned grand final winners.
It was another close game with the Dragonflies fighting to stay in the game but Sparkles slightly pulled away in the second quarter leaving the Dragonflies chasing them for rest of game.
Full credit to all players for fighting and not giving up, but unfortunately Sparkles came away with the win 25-21.
This team has had a fabulous season and the growth as a team over the past two years has been outstanding.
This was the first time in three years the team had made the finals so they are winners regardless of result.
The Mixtures played in senior 2 finishing second overall at the end of the season's regular games.
In their semi final they played Muree Golf Club (Terrace Centrals) who were minor premiers with the Mixtures unable to beat MGC all season.
Losing their semi final 20-12 against MGC saw the Mixtures play the final which was another close game against Medowie with Mixtures claiming the win 23-21.
Progressing to the grand final saw the Mixtures competing against their old nemesis MGC who came out firing.
The Mixtures continued to play their own game and at half time was down by six goals.
The Dungog players continued fighting to decrease the lead, their attitude of never giving up and contesting every ball saw them claim the win 38-33 at the final whistle.
It was a huge achievement for the team to beat the front running team.
